A Heartfelt Message of Gratitude
On behalf of the Carnival Committee, we offer our deepest thanks and praise to God for the abundant blessings bestowed upon our parish community during this year's Our Lady of the Lake Carnival. Through His grace and the generosity of so many faithful hearts, this became not only our most successful carnival ever, but also a beautiful witness to the spirit of Christian fellowship. More than the impressive results achieved, we witnessed the joy of a parish family united in faith, service, and love. The laughter of children, the friendship among neighbors, and the countless acts of kindness reminded us that we are truly one body in Christ, working together for the good of others. A Special Thank You We extend our sincere gratitude: To Father Richard, whose guidance, encouragement, and enthusiastic carnival announcing brought energy and joy throughout the week. To Lori and Suellen in the parish office, whose dedication and tireless efforts supported every aspect of the carnival. To all our volunteers, who generously shared their time and talents. Your willingness to serve wherever needed reflected the spirit of Christian discipleship and stewardship. To everyone who baked, donated food, supplies, and financial support, helping to make the carnival a success. To those who contributed to Sponsor-a-Family. Your generosity enabled many families and children to experience the joy of the carnival, bringing smiles to faces and hope to hearts. As Scripture reminds us, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace" (1 Peter 4:10). This year, we witnessed that spirit in action throughout our parish. Celebrating God's Blessings The fruits of our shared efforts were extraordinary. The carnival generated a gross intake of more than $200,000, making it the highest-grossing carnival in the history of Our Lady of the Lake. Through your generosity, the Feely family will be assisted greatly by your love, care, and support. Among the many blessings: • The White Elephant Sale raised $22,000 for our sister parish in Haiti. • The Food Tent generated over $20,000. • The 50/50 Raffles grossed more than $6,500. • Desserts and Face Painting raised funds for our youth preparing for World Youth Day in Seoul. • Dunkin' Donuts contributed through both fundraising efforts and a generous donation. While these numbers are remarkable, the true measure of success cannot be counted in dollars. It is found in the strengthened friendships, the faith shared, the service offered, and the countless moments of joy experienced by our parish family and the wider community. With Grateful Hearts As we reflect on this year's carnival, we give thanks to God for His many blessings and for each person who helped make this event possible. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure have strengthened our parish and furthered our mission of faith, charity, and community. May God bless each of you abundantly for your generosity and kindness. Please join us in continuing to keep Scott and the Feely family in our prayers, asking the Lord to surround them with His comfort, strength, and peace.
With sincere gratitude,
Our Lady of the Lake Carnival Committee
